Think about It
In Governor’s Residence on 24 January,
Chinese
Minister Counsellor Dr. Zheng Zhihing said, “China will stand on Myanmar’s side
for truths in the international arena as some countries are unilaterally taking
actions against China and Myanmar”.
He
said a lot of things including military affairs of northern armed groups. I
hereby would not discuss some matters. We have to watch whether China could
restore the peaceful situation in northern Myanmar as before 1027 operation or
not.
It
is meant that we have to consider whether China is actually helping Myanmar or
pretending to a good neighbouring country for Myanmar by watching whether
Myanmar government can control the rest in northern Myanmar except for some
concerned areas or not. If China is making pretending, we have to do acts like
it does. The incident of the Kokang group’s act of hitting a pagoda was also
included in Chinese Minister Counsellor’s speaking. Indeed, the Kokang group
not only hit a pagoda but also blew up monasteries in northern Myanmar. TNLA
also demolished a pagoda near the entrance to Nam Kham and plundered the
treasures housed inside it.
Again,
they destroyed Buddha Images and religious markings. If uneducated people
upholding scepticism about culture and religion take up arms, they do not
understand cultural heritage.
There
had no many treasures inside the pagodas demolished by Kokang and TNLA groups. What
I am wondering is that Shwedagon Pagoda would be harmed if those who have
scepticism about Buddhism conquered Myanmar. There have been a lot of treasures
beyond price in the Pagoda for worldly goods and Buddhism as well.
For
instances, UNESCO-approved historic Buddha Statues in Afghanistan were
destroyed although international community tried to stop them. Witnessing
terrorists’ plunder of treasures housed inside the pagoda, it is sure that they
would be definitely greedy if they saw a lot of tons gold inside Shwedagon
Pagoda.
Nowadays,
there are people who are just thinking how to topple disintegrate the Tatmadaw.
They cannot see the truths due to hate, grudge and bad influence being
instigated. Myanmar people can no longer convince them for Myanmar and
Buddhism.
No
civilians could not protect against the wreckage of pagodas and stupas sacred
to Buddhist people in Shan State (North) including Kokang area because of lack
of military forces. Could some Bamar people who join insurgent groups for
fighting the Tatmadaw deter it? How ordinary people can deter such acts even if
armed Bamar people joining in the fight were not able to deter terrorists’
acts? A lot of awareness was witnessed in armed clashes in northern Shan State.
Again,
there is a lot of awareness by seeing vandalism of armed insurgents and military
affairs. You all should think about the situation until you realize that only
Myanmar people have to defence and safeguard our country. You also should think
about the rise of some people in near future, who just want the military force
to be defeated, even if Shwedagon Pagoda would be demolished.
If
you want to defence the country, you guys should speak out loudly to those who
are saying stupid words that “Don’t say any stupid words”. You guys should beat
them if needed. If you don’t think about such kind of situation, it is up to
you.
